Cookie Notice
1. What this page is
This page lists every cookie WolOS Hub sets. It is part of the Privacy Policy, which explains your rights. The controller, the designated contact and the legal representative in the EU are the ones in section 1 of the Privacy Policy.
2. The cookies
__Host-hub_session. What it does: Keeps you signed in. Holds your GitHub id, login and your GitHub sign-in token, encrypted so only the hub can read it, and signed so nobody can change it. How long: 7 days at most, or until you sign out. Set by: hub.wolos.org.__Host-hub_oauth. What it does: Matches GitHub's answer to the sign-in you started, so nobody can slip a sign-in in your name. How long: 10 minutes at most; deleted when sign-in ends. Set by: hub.wolos.org.
2.1. Both cookies are sent only to hub.wolos.org, only over encrypted connections, cannot be read by scripts on the page (HttpOnly), and are not sent with requests from other sites that change something (SameSite).
2.2. The hub's pages may also keep your chosen colour theme in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time.
3. Why no consent banner
Both cookies are strictly necessary for a service you asked for: signing in. EU law (Directive 2002/58/EC, article 5(3)) and the GDPR do not require consent for them. We still tell you about them here.
4. What we do not use
- No analytics or statistics cookies.
- No advertising cookies.
- No third-party cookies or scripts, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting.
- No tracking across sites. A "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal therefore changes nothing; we honour it anyway.
5. How to control them
You can delete or block cookies in your browser at any time. If you block them, you can still read the hub, but you cannot sign in. Signing out deletes the session cookie.
6. Changes and contact
If we ever add a cookie, we update this page first, with a new version listed in the Changes Log, and we ask for consent where the law requires it. We may remove a cookie, or shorten how long it lasts, at any time. Questions: julia@wolos.org.
